Death, taxes and February birthdays for amazing Overwatch players… We’re back again with another reason for celebration : Neptuno turns 29 today! Join us in wishing the mother hen of the team a very happy birthday.
Alberto “neptuNo” González is a veteran of the Overwatch — and esports scene in general. He’s tried many games, CounterStrike, League of Legends… but we’re lucky enough that he picked Overwatch to settle on. You might know him best for his flashy plays on Philadelphia Fusion in the inaugural season. Nowadays, you can’t say “Battle Mercy” without having at least one of his plays come to mind.
After two seasons with the orange and black team, he crossed continents to play with the Guangzhou Charge, bringing some of that aggro main support energy to the APAC region. Sadly, he didn’t get the chance to perform as much as we all would’ve liked, because of visa and COVID issues.
The Paris trials gave him a new chance to shine, surprising everyone with a dominant performance on every hero, despite being previously remembered as more of a Mercy main-stay. Now, he’s back with a vengeance to prove he’s still got a place on the OWL stage.
We can’t wait to see what his veteran experience and t̶o̶x̶i̶c̶i̶t̶y̶ leadership bring to the young and hungry Paris Eternal roster.
